Steps of Swimming Pool Construction
Pool Design
How Does the Pool Design and Planning Process Begin?
The pool design and planning process at Çilek Havuz is a personalized process that is tailored to meet the specific needs and preferences of our customers.
Needs Assessment
The process begins with identifying our client's needs.
Expectations, usage purpose, pool size, material preferences, design, and planning process form the foundation.
Site Selection
Determining the location of the pool is also one of the most important stages.
Attention should be paid to factors such as the position of the pool, the duration of sun exposure, safety, and accessibility.
The landscape and other surrounding features should also be taken into consideration.
Design
The design should be tailored to the client's needs and site selection.
The size, shape, depth, material selection, pool equipment, and other features of the pool are determined during the design phase.
Planning
The necessary projects for the construction of the pool are prepared by our experts.
The projects include the list of materials to be used in pool construction, construction details, placement of pool equipment, and all other technical details.
Construction
After the design process is completed, the construction of the pool begins.
The construction process is carried out in accordance with the design and plans of the pool.
Pool Types
The Most Popular Pool TypesWhen it comes to pool Types, there are numerous options available.
That's why, when you decide to have a pool built, it is important to determine the features and type of the pool you prefere.
Overflow Swimming Pool
It is a type of swimming pool that allows the water to overflow from the pool to the outside through the overflow located at the edge of the pool. These pools, unlike regular swimming pools, are designed to maintain a higher water level inside the pool.
To maintain the water level in the swimming pool, a circulation system is used.
This system continuously cleans the water in the pool through a filtration system and returns it back to the pool.
As a result, the pool always has clean and fresh water...
Skimmer Swimming Pool
A Skimmer Pool is a type of swimming pool that continuously collects the pool water through a filtration unit called a skimmer, located around the pool's perimeter.
This system is installed in the pool wall and it effectively removes debris such as leaves, insects, and other small particles floating on the water's surface. The collected debris is then trapped by a filtration system, keeping the pool clean.
Skimmer pools are not only important for maintaining clean water but also for preserving the chemical balance of the pool. Skimmers help in distributing pool chemicals evenly, ensuring the pool remains healthy and providing an enjoyable swimming experience.
Pool Rough Construction
How Does Pool Rough Construction Begin? As Çilek Havuz, one of the leading companies in the pool industry, we strive to deliver the best in pool rough construction.
Our expert team closely monitors the entire rough construction process, ensuring that we go through this phase flawlessly and achieve the best possible results.
Project and Planning
The planning and design of a swimming pool involve determining the dimensions, shape, depth, and other details of the pool.
We begin the process with our expert team by designing the static structure of the pool and creating an accurate layout plan using AutoCAD with multiple quality checks.
At this stage, it is crucial to determine the location of the pool, evaluate the soil and groundwater conditions, and obtain necessary permits.
Subsequently, we prepare the layout plan, mechanical design, and electrical design.
As Çilek Havuz, we have been paying attention to every detail of these processes for over 30 years, ensuring maximum efficiency.
Pool Excavation
After completing all project planning procedures, it is necessary to measure and mark the site to define the boundaries of the pool. Our expert teams determine the excavation levels and begin the excavation process accordingly.
Based on these levels, excavation is initiated in line with the shape and dimensions of the pool.
This involves the removal and leveling of the soil.
Throughout the excavation process, our expert team directly manages the process and ensures its error-free execution.
Once the excavation process is completed, the reinforcement and concrete works are carried out.
Steel Reinforcement
After the excavation process is successfully completed by our team, we move on to the process of steel reinforcement.
The term "steel reinforcement" refers to the creation of all reinforcement works for the pool's floor and walls. The term "reinforcement" refers to the steel materials present in the structural elements of the reinforced structure, such as beams, columns, walls, and floors.
Reinforcement is one of the key elements that constitute the reinforced structure. While concrete is a material that withstands compression well, it lacks tensile strength.
Reinforced Concrete Structure
According to the pool's structural calculations, the reinforced concrete class is selected, and the process of pouring concrete begins in a way that prevents the formation of cold joints in the pool.
The foundation and concrete walls are implemented by the Çilek Havuz team with great precision.
It is essential to use waterproof admixtures in the concrete to ensure water impermeability.
Pool Infrastructure Plumbing
During the process of steel reinforcement, it is essential to simultaneously install the necessary infrastructure plumbing and electrical installations. This process cannot be carried out later.
The most crucial part of the pool's infrastructure plumbing is the junction boxes for lighting fixtures.
After the successful implementation of the infrastructure plumbing, the construction process moves on to the reinforced concrete structure phase.
Pool Drainage
The water coming from the garden needs to be discharged outside without reaching the pool.
With the Pool Drainage system, the water coming from the garden is discharged outside without reaching the pool.
It is essential to install a drainage system before the pool filling process, after the completion of the reinforced concrete phase.
Exterior insulation
The process we undertake to protect the foundation, exterior walls, reinforcement, and concrete structure is called Exterior Insulation.
At Çilek Havuz, one of our main goals is to provide our customers with high-quality service for many years.
Therefore, we put in extra effort in all construction works under the name of "pool protection."
filling
After successfully completing the insulation process and ensuring the pool's protection according to Çilek Havuz standards, the filling process begins.
Filling refers to the process of using excavated soil to fill the working area around the pool edge.
Once the filling process is complete, the Pool Rough Construction phase is finished.
Pool Finishing Construction
Pool Finishing Construction ProcessThanks to our over 30 years of experience and our continuous efforts to stay innovative and up-to-date, we continue to elevate the standards in Pool Finishing Construction.
Our expert team closely monitors the entire process from start to finish, ensuring that we maximize efficiency throughout the construction process.
Pool Reinforced Concrete Cleaning
Pool reinforced concrete cleaning is a process carried out to remove dirt and stains from the concrete surfaces of swimming pools.
All concrete residues in the pool are broken using a hammer drill, and then the pool is thoroughly cleaned with a high-pressure water machine, ensuring that no dust particles remain.
The process of pool reinforced concrete cleaning may vary depending on the size of your pool and the level of dirt.
Pool Hairline Crack Repair
Pool hairline crack repair is a process carried out to fix cracks that appear on the concrete surface of the pool structure.
All necessary repairs on the concrete structure are performed.
The repair work is successfully done using special chemicals.
Once this stage is completed, the concrete surface is then subjected to waterproofing.
Insulation on Reinforced Concrete
After the pool concrete is thoroughly cleaned, insulation is applied to the main concrete and the bottom corners by troweling.
Insulation on the reinforced concrete in the pool is a process carried out to prevent moisture absorption and evaporation of the pool's concrete surface.
Plaster and Screed
After the insulation is completed, the plastering and screeding process begins.
As the Çilek Havuz team, we first create a toothed surface with a special adhesive to ensure better adhesion of the plaster to the walls. We then proceed to apply the plastering material and complete the screeding process, ensuring that the pool is perfectly aligned.
The key aspect to consider is that the plaster thickness should be around ⅔ cm, while the screed thickness should be in the range of ⅚ cm.
Please note that these translations may vary depending on local usage and the specific construction context in each region.
Insulation on Plaster and Screed
After the plaster and screed process is completed, another important aspect to consider is the protection of the plaster and screed.
To protect the plaster and screed successfully, we apply a primer on them and then proceed with the insulation application.
This way, the total insulation thickness of the pool becomes 4 layers.
Water Testing
One of the most important processes to be carried out after insulation is Water Testing.
After the necessary markings are made by the Çilek Pool team, we fill the pool with water and observe whether the water level drops or not.
If the pool does not leak water, we proceed with the finishing process.
Pool Interior Lining
Machine Room and Balance Tank Coating
Machine room and balance tank coating is applied to the external surfaces of the area that houses the pool's systems and equipment.
This coating not only enhances the appearance of the machine room and balance tank but also provides protection against harmful effects.
Çilek Havuz recommends ceramic coating as our suggestion, placing the machines on ceramic is more beneficial compared to others.
Pool Commissioning
What is Pool Commissioning?Pool commissioning is the final process in pool construction.
It involves making the pool functional before it is ready to be used.
This process ensures that the pool is ready for use and operates safely.
The operation and initial commissioning of the pool system are carried out by Çilek Havuz.
Water Filling Values
Water filling values are standard measurements used to assess the quality of swimming pool water. These values, such as pH, alkalinity, chlorine level, dissolved oxygen level, and calcium hardness, are used to define the chemical properties of pool water.
Monitoring these values is essential to ensure a healthy and hygienic environment in the pool and prevent water contamination. If these values exceed the normal limits, adjustments may be required for factors such as pH balance, chlorine level, and alkalinity of the pool water.
Chemical Usage
The most important factor in preserving the water quality and providing a hygienic environment in swimming pools is proper chemical usage. Chemical usage is necessary for controlling and regulating the pH balance, chlorine level, alkalinity, and dissolved oxygen level of the pool water.
Additionally, chlorine and other bactericidal substances can be used to kill pathogens and ensure the water is hygienic.
Salt Usage
Salt usage is a method used to control the pH balance and chlorine levels in swimming pool water. Salt generators add salt to the water, and this salt electrolytically increases the chlorine level in the water, killing bacteria and microbes.
This method is a more natural and less harmful alternative that reduces the chlorine odor and color in swimming pools.
Pool Electromechanical
What is Pool Electromechanical?Pool electromechanical includes the electrical devices and systems necessary to ensure the functional features and safety of the swimming pool.
Pool Filtration System
The pool filtration system is a plumbing system used to purify and maintain the cleanliness of pool water for safe and hygienic use.
This system filters out impurities, particles, and organic matter present in the pool water, helping to keep the water clean and healthy.
Typically, a filtration system consists of a pump, a filter tank, and a filtering medium. The pump draws water and sends it to the filter, where impurities are trapped and the water is purified before returning it back to the pool.
This process helps improve the circulation and purification of pool water, aiding in the removal of microbes and harmful substances.
The pool filtration system is an essential component for ensuring the cleanliness and hygiene of the pool water.
Pool Circulation System
The circulation system is a water filtration system that draws water from the balance tank or skimmer, passes it through the filter, and then returns it to the pool through the return jets.
The circulation system ensures that the pool water is continuously circulated and filtered. It helps remove impurities, debris, and chemicals from the water, maintaining its cleanliness and clarity.
Pool Electrical System
The electrical system is a system that provides the necessary electrical energy for the operation of the pool. This system enables the functioning of equipment such as the pool pump system, filtration system, heating system, lighting system, and jacuzzi system.
Motor protection, phase protection, and leakage current relay should be used in the pool panel.
Pool lighting should always be selected as 12V.
